On the morning of Monday, June 12, we were on our way to Gelsenkirchen, where the United States was playing its first game against the Czech Republic. Gelsenkirchen is about a two-hour train ride from Frankfurt via the Deutsche Bahn, Germany's very efficient and enjoyable rail system. It seemed like no two trains had the same layout and seats, even in first class. This was probably the most comfortable train we had the whole trip.
